- Subscription Information: Payment details (processed by Apple/Google, not stored by us)
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version
- Usage Data: Feature usage, session duration, app interactions
- Analytics Data: Crash reports, performance metrics (anonymized)
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- ❌ Voice recordings (transcribed and immediately deleted)
- ❌ Precise location data
- ❌ Contacts or photo library
- ❌ Social media information

- Encryption at Rest: Journal entries encrypted with AES-256
- Voice Security: Audio transcribed in real-time and immediately deleted—never stored on our servers

5. Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third-party services:
5.1 Google Cloud (Gemini API)
- Purpose: AI-powered voice transcription and content analysis
- Data Shared: Voice audio (temporarily, for transcription), journal text (for insights)
- Privacy: Your data is not used to train Google's models
- Policy: Google Cloud Privacy
5.2 Apple/Google Play
- Purpose: Payment processing for subscriptions
- Data Shared: Subscription status (we never see your payment details)

5.3 Resend
- Purpose: Email delivery for notifications and insights
- Data Shared: Your email address, email content

5.4 RevenueCat
- Purpose: Subscription management
- Data Shared: User ID, subscription status

Important: We do not sell your personal information to any third party. Your journal content is never shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
6. Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
6.1 Access & Export
- View all your journal entries in the app
- Contact us to request access to your data
6.2 Correction
- Update your account information by contacting support
6.3 Deletion
- Request account deletion by emailing support@serenyx.app
- Data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of verification
6.4 Opt-Out of Communications
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email
- Disable push notifications in Settings
- Important account/security emails cannot be disabled
7. Data Retention
- Active Accounts: Your data is retained as long as your account is active
- Deleted Accounts: Data permanently deleted within 30 days of verified deletion request
- Backups: Backup copies removed within 90 days
- Legal Requirements: We may retain certain data if required by law
8. Children's Privacy
Serenyx is not intended for users under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at support@serenyx.app, and we will delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including India and the United States, where our servers and third-party service providers are located. By using Serenyx, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
